Time After Time ⏳🧠🧘🏿‍♀️

Constantly on the go. Mind forever racing. Always one step ahead, or 5 steps, or 10. What if you just stopped and thought of just right now? My mind is always on the go 24/7, always thinking of the future or past and never stopping for any breaks, until now. Today I was able to recognize that I am indeed overstimulated and have been for a while, and what did I do with that knowledge?; I stopped, I breathed, I made myself some lemon & ginger tea and I centered myself in this present moment. Life has a way of making you feel like you are running out of time without actually knowing if it is entirely true. Who said you didn't have time? Of course, you can waste time but you can always just get more. If you can waste you can refill. I sound delusional but that's just how I feel. There are a million and one possibilities that could happen in your life right now; are you going to scatter your mind thinking of every last one? Why don't you focus on what you want to happen right now and just do that? To be truthfully honest with you I can't take the credit for coming up with this idea. When I finally came to this moment I realized that I had been given this advice before from a show I love called Steven Universe. The main character Steven had given this advice to his family member, Garnet, who has future vision & was dealing with the pressure & mental confusion of knowing a million and one possibilities. He told her to just focus on what she wanted to do right now and just follow that, and as simple as it said is as simple as it could be done. Everyone's situation is different and we only know ourselves best, but if your mind is restless it could benefit from taking a moment to be present and focus on the now & however it looks like to get you there is totally up to you :).

Take care!
